We as parents have to sometimes break our own hearts and to push our children to do things that they sometimes think they can’t or don’t want to. We don’t negotiate with our children to brush their teeth or eat their protein. They know we force them to do these things because we love them and we as parents know what’s best for them.

Our relationship with our children is built on trust. They trust that we love them and that we will tell them to do things that may be uncomfortable sometimes for their own good. Our role as parents is to steward our children so that they can become disciplined, resilient and confident to reach their God given potential.

“Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Parents on the Mats was a BLAST!

The kids got to show off their skills, play some fun games, roll around with Mom and Dad, and even teach their parents their favorite jiu jitsu techniques!

The kids were loving every second of it and the parents definitely got a little taste of what their kids do every week! 💪

Thank you to all the parents who jumped on the mats and made it such a fun day! We can’t wait for the next one! 🤙

What a day! So proud of everyone who stepped on the mats yesterday and put it all on the line. Win or lose, you showed courage, competed hard, and left it all on the mat!

As a coach, I’ll always take 100% responsibility for our students’ losses. But I’ll never take credit for their wins.

Those wins belong to them. The hours of training, the discipline, the nerves, the adjustments, and the decision to keep fighting when things got tough — that’s all them.

We also want to thank those that weren’t competing but came out to support your teammates yesterday! The love and support from you folks mean more to us than you guys know!

Thank you to Mat Prescriptions for keeping our mats clean and our students safe! We clean the mats daily after every training session with products meant to kill all of the bacteria etc. associated with any combat sport but an annual deep clean is necessary to make sure our students are well protected.

Because of our proper cleaning routine, Dan expressed to us that the water coming out of the machine is a lot cleaner than what he’s usually seen! Thank you to all of our students that trust us with your jiu jitsu journey, as well as your safety, and we hope to be able to keep serving you in the best way we know how!
