Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming United Way coordinators from across the state to Union School! It was an honor to showcase the incredible passion and creativity of our students through projects like our Greenhouse, STEAM Room, and Makerspace.
We also had the opportunity to share the Union Way—our commitment to a one student at a time philosophy. By building meaningful relationships and providing personalized support, we strive to develop confident learners who make a positive impact not only in our school but also in the communities they call home.
Thank you for taking the time to visit and learn about the amazing things happening at Union. We are proud of our students, our staff, and the work we do together every day! Nampa School District United Way

Back at Union today, we’ve been hard at work preparing for an amazing school year! We’ve been tackling logistics, organizing, cleaning our rooms, and working through some heavy information, so thankful that Union is so much like a family.
To top it all off, our incredible principal, Kate Nakamura-Stein, and her wonderful parents (“Mom and Dad” Nakamura) treated us to an amazing lunch. Their generosity and support remind us what makes Union such a special place—a school built on relationships, teamwork, and caring for one another. Nampa School District

Hi, everyone!
I’m excited to be here and look forward to connecting with all of you. I’m passionate about learning, sharing ideas, and growing alongside this amazing community.
A little about me: I have worked in education for the past 10 years, and I’m excited to continue that journey here with all of you. Most of my experience has been in the classroom, teaching Physical Education and Health at a variety of grade levels.
I enjoy exploring new ideas, meeting like-minded people, and contributing whenever I can. I’m here to learn from your experiences, exchange ideas, and build meaningful connections.
I look forward to getting to know everyone! Feel free to say hello and share a little about yourself.

We are all so proud of Valentin for his perseverance and determination. He never gave up, even when the journey wasn’t easy, and his hard work has truly paid off. A huge shoutout to Kristy as well for believing in her students, holding them to high standards, and providing the support and encouragement they need to succeed. Success like this doesn’t happen by accident—it comes from dedication, resilience, and having people who challenge you to be your very best. Congratulations, Valentin, and thank you, Kristy, for making a difference! Nampa School District
