Central families are invited to join families at Iowa Elementary for their monthly food distribution. They would love to support our families while our Cougar Family Center is closed.

Please feel free to come by anytime from 4:30- 6:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month and pick up food, no questions asked.

We will have fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, eggs, milk, bread, and pantry staples. They look forward to seeing you and supporting our Central Community.

Next food distribution will be Tuesday, October 20.

Parent/Teacher Conferences are coming up in the Nampa School District!

This is a great opportunity for families to connect with teachers, discuss student progress, ask questions, and work together to support student success.

📅 September 30: 5–8 PM
📅 October 1: 8 AM–8 PM
🍽️ Lunch Break: 11 AM–12 PM
🍽️ Dinner Break: 4–5 PM

Please contact your child’s school directly with any questions or for specific conference information.

We're thrilled to announce that the following schools have received funding for their PE programs from the Harvest Classic Fun Run held last Saturday:

🏫 Central Elementary
🏫 Columbia High School
🏫 Idaho Arts Charter (won twice!)
🏫 Nampa High School
🏫 Owyhee Elementary
🏫 Skyview High School
🏫 Victory Charter School

Each school won $250, with Idaho Arts Charter receiving $500!

We are proud to give back to our community through this great event. Proceeds from the Harvest Classic directly support local schools' PE departments and the Nampa Parks & Recreation Scholarship Program, which helps provide financial assistance for youth and families, enabling them to access valuable recreational opportunities.

We have new recess equipment! Students have been enjoying a variety of yard games, sports balls, checkers, and puzzles during recess.

Starting Monday, the 21st, students should no longer bring any balls from home. Please help remind your student to keep them at home.

Meet the Coordinators!

Ashley Zamora is the Community School Coordinator at Central Elementary Nampa.

I have been part of the Central Elementary community for 4.5 years and have served as the Community School Coordinator for the past two years. I’m passionate about supporting students and families by connecting them with resources and opportunities that help them thrive. What I love most about my role is building meaningful relationships and being able to make a positive difference. Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, traveling, and enjoying the outdoors.

We are so grateful for all of the long hours, phone calls, coordination meetings, and wardrobe-malfunction-rescues that Mrs. Zamora accomplishes in a day. She is a massive asset to our school and to our community.

If you see these 5 girls be sure to thank them for their help yesterday. They made this American Flag for the school cafeteria.

They each used skills in art, math, and geometry to create something really cool out of a blank piece of paper.
