Wow. It’s been a day. Thank you to my sweet friend for this beautiful portrait she had made of my Gunnar. It will be hung in our home.
He was such a special boy, not only to us, but to our gym family. He will be missed but NEVER forgotten. 💙

💔I don’t even know how to start this post.
For those of you that know Gunnar’s story, you know what a sweet boy he was and the life he had before us he never deserved, but I believe that Charlie Fortik and I gave him the very best life, the life he always deserved.
We learned last year that Gunnar had a severe case of Aortic Stenosis,because of the severity of his heart condition , the cardiologist told us there was no treatment. The cardiologist told us that he may live to be 3, and when he did pass it would be sudden. A heart attack. So everyday we loved and spoiled him as much as we could. Everyday when we would come home after training, we take a short nap, I would always bring him with me to take a nap with me. This was our mom & Gunnar time.
Every night when he went to sleep I would tell him he was Brave, Smart, Kind,Loyal, Sweet, and that he was my best friend and SO loved. Not a night went by that we skipped that routine , just incase he didn’t wake up the next morning. I wanted him to know how much he was loved.
Today he took a nap with me, I went to work out, then worked a bit In the store. I came home and he was gone. Laying in the living room peacefully looking like he was taking a nap, without me. I frantically called Charlie, but there was nothing we could have done.
We are heart broken.
Thank you to everyone of our friends and gym members that loved him. That was always so nice to see people petting him or giving him treats at the gym.
RIP my sweetest baby Gunnar. You are Brave . You are Kind. You are smart. You are Loyal. You are my very best friend and you are so loved.
