In June, the MFFMF Board transferred the Fund’s assets from a self-managed account to the pool of assets at the Idaho Community Foundation. Established in 1988, and spanning the forty-four counties in Idaho, the ICF is composed of 630 funds. The ICF now manages over 218 million dollars. Their substantial assets allow the ICF to diversify investments—more diversification than was possible for the Memorial Fund. The MFFAMF’s ten-year average return was 6%. The ICF ten-year returns average 11.3%.
The MFFAMF will continue to give scholarships and stipends to Melba FFA students, just as we have for the past 34 years. You can still make tax-deductible donations by emailing the MFFMF. For further information and donation instructions you can contact the Fund secretary, David Daniel at [email protected]
