A lot of you guys may have gotten an email from FMCSA about the Motus spam and about the biennial update ❗️

I want to break it down & shed some light on it

FMCSA is not shutting DOTs down over not having it up to date - at the moment - this will come back into affect at some point!!

Biennial updates are still needed for insurance, for registering license plates/tags in certain states, and if there are major info changes; address change, amount of units, etc.

About Motus spam:

There is so many dot spam companies, most are based out of Texas. These companies, the day after Motus was launched in May, made a few mimic websites with the exact FMCSA Motus logo on them, and send it via email and text trying to get you guys to go through those sites. FMCSA is now aware and sent out a mass email.

I stress the importance of knowing how to check dot yourself, knowing the government links, and having a trusted human handle dot for you!!

If you’re new here,

Our grandparents own a gravel/construction company as well as a wild land firefighting company and they are the kind of guys that we work for and with, in DOT!

They work hard everyday, they want to do what’s required to stay compliant but NO bs and nothing extra

They are also not into salesmen lol!
