We are happy to announce the new head coach for the Ridgevue Warhawk Baseball Program: Tim Onofrei

Tim Onofrei is a former professional baseball player, a long-time college baseball coach, and a current law enforcement officer.

Here are the key details about him:

Baseball Playing Career:

He played college baseball at the College of Idaho (formerly Albertson College of Idaho), where he was a two-time NAIA All-American.

He was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 28th round of the 1996 MLB Draft and pitched for two seasons in their minor league system.

Coaching Career:

Onofrei is the former Head Baseball Coach at Northwest Nazarene University (NNU) in Nampa, Idaho.

He served as the head coach for 13 seasons (2001-2013) and holds the record for the most career head coaching wins in the program’s history. He was also honored as a “Legends” honoree by NNU in 2024.

Current Career:

Following his coaching career, he transitioned into law enforcement. He is a Police Detective with the Nampa Police Department, where he has held various roles, including patrol officer, crime scene investigator, and critical incident task force investigator.

His current assignment includes serving as a School Resource Officer at a high school in Nampa, where he also has the opportunity to teach a law enforcement class and coach baseball.

He has dedicated his career to service, whether through sports or law enforcement, primarily in the Nampa, Idaho area.

Today is the 10 Year Celebration!!!!

Ridgevue High School 10 Year Anniversary Celebration!

October 10, 2025 from 3:35pm until 6:45pm/Game Time!

The celebration will take place right after school in the courtyard and bus loop and continue until game time when RHS Varsity Football plays Nampa High School here at RHS for their Senior Night - Game time 7pm!

Activities include:

A variety of food and drinks will be available for purchase by local Food Trucks.
RHS Clubs, Teams &, Programs will have booths to share all about their great activities for students.
Slides, obstacle course, dunk tank and a mechanical bull all free to you to enjoy!

Bring the family, bring your friends and celebrate our amazing high school starting its 10th year!

Notice: Parking Advisory for Saturday, October 18th

On Saturday, October 18th, Ridgevue High School will host the Treasure Valley Festival of Bands, a large-scale event that brings together marching bands from across the region to showcase their talent.

Due to the size and scope of this event, we kindly ask for the community’s cooperation with parking arrangements:

Tennis Court Visitors: If you plan to use the RHS tennis courts that morning, please park on the street. The staff parking lot will be reserved exclusively for bus parking.

Event Spectators: Spectator parking will be available in the student parking lot near the football field, as well as in the Warhawk Elementary parking lot.

We appreciate your support and understanding as we work to ensure a smooth and successful event for all participants and guests.
