And with those 8 shout outs, we wrap up Teacher Appreciation week! But as the pastor here, I want to take a moment and thank all those teachers, admins, and school staff that bring your kids here or come here yourself for preschool and/or worship. Your choice to keep faith at the center of your life will make you an even better teacher. God works through you every day with kids and teens and we are thankful!

Remember, sharing our appreciation with teachers and other school leaders never ends. Whether it’s here or in a different school, say thank you, drop off a coffee, be supportive when teachers are working with your child, and ask how you can volunteer. There is always plenty of work that could use your help. Most importantly, vote for candidates you believe support teachers and schools, even preschools like ours. It matters!!

Happy teacher appreciation week!! Teachers do such hard work and we are so grateful you show kids the face of God through your love!

Teacher shout out #8…

We close our teacher shout outs on this Teacher Appreciation Week with our director of student ministry, Abbie. She is our newest staff member in student ministries. It’s a big job to step into with preschool, daycare, Sunday programs, and events to coordinate. We are so grateful for her time and work these 11 months. She came to us with a degree from Boise Bible College and a focus on ministry after serving in two other churches. A highlight of Abbie’s time here is her ability to lead children’s time. You’ll see kids on stage every week! Another highlight we see in Abbie is that she loves her son so much (who is pretty cute himself at just past 1 year old). On this Mother’s Day, we celebrate with her and all of Kid’s Stuff Celebrates the moms (and dads, grandparents, etc.) that visit here each day. Thank you for trusting Abbie and the teachers with what you love most!!!

Teacher shout out #7…

We are grateful for our longest serving staff member of 20 years, Sara! She has served as a teacher and now as our assistant director for the last few years. Sara is such a hard worker. She consistently puts in effort beyond the expectations and models what it means to love these kids and their families, even traveling to the Orange Conference this year to learn move about teaching faith to kids. Fun fact…two of Sara’s children have worked here during their teen years and did a great job. You’ll even see her husband here for work days and occasional projects. Sara’s entire family has embraced ministry with kids and we are thankful for all of them! What we appreciate most though is Sara’s heart. She loves her staff l, the kids, and the ministry the church does and she shows it everyday. Let’s celebrate Sara for teacher appreciation week!
