🚀 Project Present is Back!

This year, we are relaunching Project Present with a new approach! Instead of focusing on individual student attendance, we are turning it into a classroom and school-wide challenge where students work together toward our attendance goal.

⭐ Our goal: 94% schoolwide attendance!
Our classrooms have already started moving their astronauts on the Project Present tracker board by the mural! Each week, classrooms will continue moving their astronauts forward based on their attendance. Next time you visit Endeavor, be sure to check out the board and see how our Rockets are doing! 🚀

Here's how the game works:
🚀 Move 2 spaces if the class reaches 94% attendance or higher
📈 Move 1 space if the class improves from the previous week
➡️ Move 0 spaces if attendance does not improve

💫 No astronaut left behind!
We want to celebrate progress and remind students that every week is a new opportunity to move forward. Our goal is for every classroom to reach the finish line together!

🌟 Reach a Star = Earn a Pin!
When a classroom reaches a star on the pathway, they earn a space-themed pin to add to their classroom banner. These banners are displayed outside each classroom so students can proudly see their progress.

🎉 We Also Win Together!
When all classrooms reach a school-wide checkpoint, the entire school earns a celebration! Students will vote in their classrooms on what they would like to win, so our celebrations will be chosen by our students! Some examples include:
🎩 School-wide Hat Day
💤 School-wide PJ Day
🎨 School-wide Temporary Tattoo Day

🥳 Project Present will continue throughout the school year, with new challenges and celebrations each trimester!

💰 Remember, attendance also impacts our school community. Public school across Idaho, including Endeavor, receive state funding based on the average number of students who attend school not by the number of students enrolled. These funds help support staffing, programs, and resources for our students. The stronger our Average Daily Attendance, the more funding our school receives to support our students. More funding means more staff and resources available to support your student!

💙 Most importantly, we know attendance can be challenging for many families. Our goal is to approach attendance with encouragement, empathy, and support. We are here to partner with families and help remove barriers whenever we can.

🌟 Here's what's happening this week at Endeavor:

🏈 👩‍🏫 We had so much fun with you at our Teachers & Tailgates event on Friday! If you have any pictures or videos from the event, please send them to Mrs. Nuncio through messages on Parent Square! We'll make a recap video using the pictures and videos you send us!

📅 Parent Teacher Conferences are NEXT WEEK from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on September 30th and from 8:00am to 8:00pm on October 1st.​ At 7:05 this evening, we'll share a Conference sign up post for every teacher on Parent Square. Please take a moment and sign up for the time that works best for your and your family. Please make sure your sign up for each student on their own teacher's post. We ​can't wait to meet with you!

🏈 Hey, Rockets! Teachers & Tailgates is happening TONIGHT! Here's a reminder about everything you need to know!

You're invited to join us at Columbia High School TONIGHT at 6:00 PM for a picnic-style hangout with:
🌭 FREE hot dogs, chips, and drinks
🏈 Yard games & football fun
🧺 Bring a blanket or lawn chairs to sit on

📍 Check the picture we shared on Parent Square to see the area where Endeavor staff and students will be meeting up! There's also a map on Parent Square that shows you where to enter and park.

⏰ We encourage you to arrive early since parking and seating fill up quickly! Look for the Endeavor banner on a football post to find our group!

🎟️ Students should have brought home a wristband yesterday. Please make sure they bring and show their wristband when entering so we know they are an Endeavor student. Endeavor students will get in FREE!

🏈 At 7:00pm we'll move from our tailgating spot into the stadium to cheer for the Nampa vs. Columbia Varsity football game!

💰Adult admission is $5. For convenience, please plan to pay with a card or bring exact cash. If you need change, you'll need to walk to the farther entrance, where cash is being managed.

Meet our Coordinators!

Meet Mayra De Anda Hernandez Community School Coordinator at Endeavor Elementary. Mayra has been a coordinator at Endeavor for almost two years. Mayra's favorite part about being a coordinator is working alongside caring staff and brainstorming initiatives or opportunities students and families need. Mayra enjoys collaborating with her coordinator team and being a helpful resource.

🏈 Hey, Rockets! Teachers & Tailgates is happening THIS FRIDAY! Keep reading for everything you need to know!

🎉 Get ready to kick off football season with us! Join us THIS Friday, September 18th at 6:00pm at Columbia High School for our Teachers & Tailgates event!

🚨 We’ll have:
🌭 FREE Food
🎯 Fun games
🤝 A chance to connect with Endeavor staff and families
🏈 ALL the football spirit!

🏈📣 Then at 7:00pm, stick around to cheer on the Nampa vs. Columbia football game and some of our very own Rocket Dancers!
🎟️ Endeavor students enter the game for FREE!
🎟️ Adults: $5 to enter the game

💸 Endeavor students will come home Thursday with a concert-style wristband that will get them into Columbia's Varsity Football Game for FREE! Endeavor adults attending the game with their student will get ticks for the discounted price of $5 each.

🤑 The tailgate portion of the night is COMPLETELY FREE for all Endeavor families! It's only entry to the game that costs money. But students MUST BRING THEIR WRISTBANDS to get free food!

The clinic costs $50 and students who participate will receive a t-shirt, snacks, and two free passes for adults to attend the game with them! 🚫 There is NO SCHOOL TOMORROW, September 7th, in observance of Labor Day. We'll see students back at school on Tuesday!

🚨 Friday, September 11th, is our first Freaky Friday of the school year. Remember, Freaky Fridays mean that school is in session. We'll plan to see your student at school on Friday, September 11th!

🦷 Southwest District Health is providing FREE Fluoride Treatments for Kindergarten students on September 16th. If you'd like your student to participate, please complete and return the permission slip by this Wednesday, September 9th. If you do NOT want your student to participate, please mark "no" and return the form. Thank you!

📸 Fall Picture Day is THIS Tuesday, September 1st. These pictures will NOT have cute backgrounds. They will be used for student identification purposes. We recommend waiting until Spring Picture Day later this year to purchase pictures of your student, but if you'd like to order these pictures you will be able to. AFTER your student takes his or her picture, they will bring home a QR code that you can scan to order pictures if you'd like to.

💙🚀 We had a family survey available at our Rockets at the Rollerdrome event this past Thursday, and if you missed it, you can still share your voice! We’d love to hear from you to better understand your family’s needs, interests, and how we can support you. Please check Parent Square to access the survey links.

🛼 Rockets at the Rollerdrome is happening TONIGHT from 6:00pm to 8:00pm!

🤩 We're going to have so much FUN together!

🏆 AND you'll have the chance to win a SCHOLARSHIP to the Nampa Recreation Center for your student!

💸 Admission is $8 per skater and skates are available to rent for $3 per pair. Remember, Endeavor earns $3 back for our school from every admission!

📣 Hi, Rockets!

🚐 We’re excited to share a helpful resource available to our Endeavor families: St. Luke’s Children’s Mobile Care!

🩺 Mobile Care visits select schools in the Nampa School District and can help children up to age 18 receive care with minimal interruption to their school day or a parent’s workday.

🤕 Services may include care for minor illnesses and injuries, wellness exams, strep and flu testing, RSV and COVID-19 testing, mild concussions, chronic illnesses, immunizations, and more.

Here’s what you need to know:
📝 Parent/guardian forms must be completed and returned before your child can be seen.

📅 The Mobile Care Unit visits Endeavor every other Wednesday.

📞 Parents can schedule an appointment by calling 208-706-6457.

🗣️ Mobile Care staff will talk with you about recommended treatment and obtain verbal consent before treatment is provided.

💳 Services are billed to insurance, but children can still be seen if they do not have insurance.

❤️ If you believe your child may need to be seen by Mobile Care, please contact our school nurse, Nurse Luci, or ask your student's teacher for more information about the Mobile Care schedule!

🤩 We hope you take advantage of this amazing opportunity!
