CWI Learning Commons Welcome to the College of Western Idaho Learning Common's page! The Learning Commons includes the Library, Tutoring Services, and the Writing Center. Just ask!

For hours, locations, and access to tons of awesome academic resources, visit us on the CWI website! CWI Library is located in Room 105 of the Nampa Campus Multipurpose Building (NCMP) and room 1301 of the Ada County Campus Pintail Center. In both locations and online, the Library offers students, faculty and staff access to computers, group study rooms, books, databases, online research guides, eBooks, DVDs, streaming videos and music, and more! The library staff is available to answer questions by phone, email, in-person, and on chat. Need something we don't have?

THE CWI Fall Resource Fair is here, and the Learning Commons will be there!

Teams from the Writing & AI Literacy Center, Library, and Tutoring Center will be there to support you, answer questions, and connect you with the resources you need to succeed.

We will be in Nampa in the NCSC Quad on Wednesday the 26th at 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

And in Boise outside the Ada County Center Pintail Building (APIN) Thursday the 27th at 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

A new building and new semester is here!

The CWI Learning Commons is excited to welcome you to the Fall 2026 semester, and we are eager to support you through our Writing & AI Literacy Center, Tutoring, and Library services.

Learning Commons services are open to all students; you can find us on the 2nd floor of the new Nampa Campus CapEd Student Success Center (NCSC).

As we close out the Spring 2026 semester we want to take a moment to thank again the students and staff that keep the Writing & AI Center, Tutoring, and Library alive and well!

Lots of new and exciting changes are coming to the Learning Commons next semester as we complete our move to the new Student Success Center, NCSC. So stay tuned!

Ahead of our big move to the Student Success Center🏫 next semester, Tutoring Services and Writing Center will be relocating down the hall to the 2nd floor Atrium at the top of the main stairs, until the end of Spring semester.

All services will be available as usual, so feel free to make an appointment or stop by!

💪Stay strong through finals, and we hope to see you again soon!
