Calling all artsy and creative, Lake Ridge Families & Friends!

🍂🧡 Fallways is Coming to Lake Ridge! 🧡🍂

Get ready, Leopards... it's time for our annual FALLWAYS Hallway Decorating Competition! 🐆🍁

Our grade-level teams are transforming the hallways into creative fall-themed spaces, and we need YOUR help to bring these amazing ideas to life! 🎨✨

Families can support by:
🍂 Sharing decorating ideas
✂️ Creating or crafting decorations
🎃 Donating supplies and decorations
🖌️ Helping teachers decorate
⭐ Sharing special talents and creative skills
🤝 Volunteering your time

This is a wonderful opportunity to work together, build school spirit, and create hallways our students will be excited to walk through every day! 🧡

Our first PTA family event will be our annual Neon Walk, on Sept 24, at 2pm. More information to come!

Congratulations to ANA who was our FIRST PTA meeting raffle winner! Ana won a PREFERRED parking spot right in front of the school, good for our September Neon walk event!

PARENTS: We will be giving away preferred parking spots and reserved seating for events throughout the year, as well as gift bags, goodies, & gift cards!

TEACHERS: you will also get raffle opportunities good for extra recess for your class, morning, lunch, OR afternoon duty coverage, and goodies & gift cards!

All you have to do is JOIN the PTA, go to 1 or more meetings, and attend OR help at events! A winner will be announced at EVERY MONTHLY MEETING!

🐆💛 MEET OUR PTA PRESIDENT! 💛🐆

Hello, Lake Ridge families! I’m Leslie Weast, and I’m back this year as your PTA President! 🎉

I’m a mom of four, and three of my four kids have gone through Lake Ridge—with my fourth currently rocking 5th grade! So, needless to say, Lake Ridge holds a pretty special place in our family’s heart. 💛

I’m a stay-at-home mom with deep roots right here in our community. In fact, I’m a Nampa High School graduate…shhh, don’t tell the folks at Skyview! 😬😂

When I’m not busy being a mom (which begs the question…what exactly is “down time”?! 😂), I love volunteering at my kids’ schools, reading, and being part of my book club. I’m also involved in martial arts and have a mini farm at my house—much to the ongoing dismay of my husband. 🐓🐐😂

My biggest hope for this year is that we come together as a Lake Ridge community to support our kiddos, support our staff, and make this the BEST year possible! 🐆💛

And if you’ve ever thought, “I’d really love to get involved, but I have no idea where to start…”—COME JOIN US! 🙌

Our PTA meetings are once a month at 7:00 PM, and I promise you don’t have to be a PTA expert, have tons of free time, or know exactly what you want to do. There is absolutely a place for you here!

🐆💛 MEET OUR PTA VICE PRESIDENT! 🖤🐆

Hi, Lake Ridge families! I’m Rebecca Pizarro, and I’m so excited to be serving as your PTA Vice President this year!

I am a wife and mother of 5.Two boys in the Coast Guard, a daughter at Skyview, and twin boys at Lake Ridge.

As a teacher at Lake Ridge, I already have the privilege of watching our Leopards learn, grow, and become amazing little humans every day. Now I get to be part of making even MORE things happen for our students and families through PTA—and I couldn’t be more excited! 🥰

When I’m not teaching,or wearing my PTA hat, I’m spending time with my family, watching my twins play soccer, planning a family trip or activity, cooking, baking, decorating something, or convincing myself that I definitely need to buy another pair of sneakers. 😂👟

One of my biggest goals this year is to help make our PTA a place where EVERY Lake Ridge family feels welcome and wants to be involved. Whether you have an hour to volunteer, a great idea to share, a special talent or career you’d love to introduce to our students, or simply want to cheer on our Leopards—we want YOU! 🐆

✨ MEET OUR PTA SECRETARY! ✨

Hi, Lake Ridge families! I’m Harmony Jantz, a mom of two and your PTA Secretary! 🐆💛

My son is a 2nd grader here at Lake Ridge, and my daughter attends South Middle School (and yep…she’s a former Lake Ridge Leopard, too!). So you could say our family has spent a LOT of time around these halls! 😂

When I’m not being a mom or helping with PTA, I love all things vintage, gardening, camping, and—most importantly—COFFEE. ☕🌱🏕️ I’m pretty sure coffee deserves its own PTA committee, but we’ll save that discussion for another day. 😂

I’m so excited to be part of the PTA and to get more involved in our amazing Lake Ridge community! I’m looking forward to meeting more families, making memories, and helping create some fun experiences for our kids.

You don’t have to have tons of time, a special skill, or PTA experience to get involved. We’d love to have you! Even a little help can make a BIG difference. 💛

✨MEET YOUR PTA TREASURER!✨

Hi, Lake Ridge families! I’m Amber Overstreet, and I’m excited to be back for my second year as your PTA Treasurer! 🐾💛

By day, I teach over at Lone Star—it’s my second year teaching middle school and my 10th year in the classroom! Being an educator is truly one of my biggest passions, so getting to be part of the Lake Ridge community is something I’m especially excited about.
When I’m not teaching or keeping up with PTA finances (someone has to keep us on budget! 😉), you’ll usually find me spending time with my family, heading outdoors, or curled up with a good book. 📚🌿

I’m looking forward to connecting with even more of our amazing Lake Ridge families this year and helping make this a fun, memorable year for our Leopards! 🐆💛
