🗣Shoutout to Fusion at South Middle School🗣

This past weekend, some eighth grade Fusion students participated in the Future City Project. The Golden Island Team (Josie Wang, Liam McArthur, Ryen Wilson, and Ellie Shamy) won a special award for "Advancing the Quality of Life for All" given out by The Idaho Society of Professional Engineers.

Congratulations to Ms. Kuehl and the math students of Fusion!! They were recognized as the National Do Math! Pay It Forward classroom winner for donating the largest amount of THINK points to Feeding America in the Mountain Time Zone!

Feeding America is the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization. The Feeding America network of food banks, pantries and meal programs serve virtually every community in the United States — 47 million people, including 14 million children.

This November, Imagine Math students worked hard and donated big to Feeding America! Imagine Math 3+ students donated $5,000 to help eliminate hunger across the nation. This dollar amount equates to over 1.2 million math problems solved to help others.

🎉 Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming around 80 students from the Fusion Program at South Middle School to the City of Nampa! 🙌 The students, in 6th-8th grades, heard from Mayor Kling, the Planning and Zoning Department, and various Public Works Departments while at Nampa City Hall. They also toured Nampa's Water Renewal Facility and visited Nampa's Police Department where they saw a K-9 demonstration, visited the Evidence Department, the Real Time Crime Center, and learned about our Intelligent Transportation System. 🚔💧 We loved the opportunity to share all of the hard work happening across the City of Nampa with the students and teachers!
