Due to deteriorating road conditions and the forecast of snow and freezing rain expected tomorrow, Nampa Montessori is canceling school for Friday, February 14th.

Nampa Montessori has some sad news to share.
On Monday, July 24th, a long-time teacher and friend of NMPK, Ms. Heidi Holt, lost her life to cancer. Heidi was an employee of NMPK from 2009-2017.

To celebrate and honor her life as well as her dedication to children, we are running a children’s book drive at the school. If you would like to participate, then please bring a new children’s book or two to Nampa Montessori (312 N. Canyon St.) on Saturday, August 5, from 10:30-12:30. All collected books will be donated to the children’s ward at a local hospital of her family’s choosing.

Hey, Idaho families, we need your help!

Two amazing students from Indonesia need host families. Their placement deadline is next week!

They earned a YES scholarship through the Department of State. Both worked so hard to receive the scholarship…only 3% receive it!
Let’s celebrate their achievements by hosting them, so they can live their dreams to be exchange students in the US!

Requirements:
Provide three meals a day
A bed in a bedroom (can share with a child of same gender, within a five year age difference)
They have health insurance.
They also have spending money!

Can’t host the full 10 months? Just welcome them for 6 to 8 weeks… consider being a welcome family, hosting short term until a permanent family is found, so they can begin their program and school.
