Some of you may have heard, but our fearless leader, Mr. Hillman, is retiring! Mr. Hillman began NOVA in 2020 and has led this unique program since! We are sure going to miss his leadership!

Today we’re celebrating the incredible leaders who keep our schools running strong, our principals and vice principals! From early mornings to late evenings, hallway high-fives to tough decisions, they do it all for students, staff, and families every single day.

In their honor, we even took the day off school…
(okay, okay it *is* a 4-day school week, but we’re still giving them the credit 😉)

NOVA’s Esports Team this year had fun playing in the PlayVS Super Smash Bros. League this past fall and spring. Coach Dowski and Coach Triplett want to acknowledge our team: Ayden Adkins, Jerome Thompson, Corydon Flamm and Levi Wynn. We elevated Ayden to our Team Captain this year for being an integral part of our Esports program since its beginning! He encourages others, starts meetings, creates practice arenas and league arenas and is a positive role model for our Esports program. Three of our players- Ayden, Jerome, and Corydon are seniors this year, so we are actively seeking middle and high school students wanting to enjoy some social, fun, video gaming time together for next year! As we close out National Counselor’s Week, we need to pause and thank our very own Dr. Dowski!
Dr. Dowski spends countless hours tutoring students, supporting them in getting into classes that will help them achieve their dreams, checking student wellbeing, preparing character lessons, .... and the list goes on!
We are so grateful she’s chosen NOVA as her school home!
