Some brave and tough laddies! 90 mins of live ball and the ones that were moving stayed warm. My fingers, knees the other hand…. Didn’t fall off 🥶 😂 🎾🎉

Not really a tennis post. Just sharing….
I’m Jim. My wife Christi Martin and kids moved from Portland, but I played at BSU Boise State Men's Tennis, so it felt like coming home. I had taught for over 20 years, and started this FB group after coming out of a 3 year retirement. I was gonna have a little side hustle but immediately had some doors open - I felt like I HAD to walk through them.
I started teaching at Eagle Tennis Club - ETC and eventually worked into the Head Pro position. I had the perfect mix; all ages, all abilities, daytime drop-in clinics, intermediate and advanced junior development, rockin’ live ball classes - but by far the best was being able to teach my wife and kids. Not to mention, the staff that I was around. Every day was a joy, which made 12 hour days fly by. This was home.
Then ETC had to close, and I’m left with a lot more questions than answers. I’m thankful to Kara Hoge, even though it’s not the ending we all wanted.
Now it’s back to the parks where this started. It’ll take a lot more organizing and promotion, but I’m excited about it, and I don’t pretend to know the end.
Thanks to my wife, and Glory to God for the peace I’m feeling. I’m excited to see what’s next, because knowing everything can be boring.
