Did you know that the colors in fireworks come from different minerals?

Fireworks are beautiful, but little ones need a little extra help staying safe. Here are a few simple reminders for tonight:

1. Watch fireworks from a safe distance
2. Consider noise reducing headphones for sensitive little ears
3. Never let children handle sparklers, as they burn much hotter than many people realize
4. Keep shoes on while outdoors to protect little feet from hot debris
5. Stay hydrated and bring water along for the evening
6. Keep children close in crowded areas
