So funny story…this was the last cake I made while pregnant! I made it last August and I had this brilliant idea to post it in October during spooky season. Turns out you forget things while extremely pregnant. So here I am now remembering to post it…in the beginning of Summer. 😂🤦🏽‍♀️

Seeing this cake makes me wish I could light a Fall scented candle and do an HP marathon while eating Fall comfort food like chili or soup! 🕯️🍂

I’m back!! Hi! 🙋🏽‍♀️

If you’ve been following me for a little bit, you’ll know that last fall I had my first baby! Fast forward a few months, our little man had to have heart surgery. This heart surgery was known and planned for since I was pregnant with him. Back in February, we traveled out of state for the surgery and it was successful. Fast forward to now, he is doing great! He is 6 months old and now that the dust has finally settled on everything, I’m ready to be covered in powdered sugar again! The first picture is a cake I did recently and the second picture is of our little munchkin!

My little sous chef is 2 months old now! I honestly don’t know where the time went. As you may already know, my little boy was born with a congenital heart defect known as tetralogy of fallot (TOF). This defect will require repair through an open heart surgery and will require us to travel out of state for it.

His heart surgery has been scheduled and is coming up very soon. When I made Emmitt’s Christmas Cookie Ornaments, many of you asked if we had a gofundme set up. I was originally against setting one up because I prefer to stand strong on my own two feet, but medical bills are already starting to come in so my sister decided to set one up on our behalf.

I really struggle with asking for help so this is difficult for me to do but I know that what we’re moving through is bigger than anything we’ve dealt with before. We’d greatly appreciate your help, even if it’s not monetary. Sharing this post and praying for our son would mean just as much.

Yall…We sold out of Emmitt’s ornaments already! I am speechless!!! Partly because now I’m busy getting all these little hanging treats ready but mostly because I’m overwhelmed by everyone’s generosity. Thank you so much for ordering, sharing, donating outside of purchasing, and above all, praying for our little peanut. Means the world to us. 💙🫶🏾
