Way behind on posting our Fresh Fruits & Vegetables! The kids continue to amaze me with how many different fruits & vegetables they like! Though we finally found a few they weren't huge fans of, but we've made some progress and had kids who have always said "no" finally try a bite!
February included Kiwi, Sugar Snap Peas, English Cucumbers, Arcadian Lettuce, and Mango (not pictured).
March (so far) has been Tomato Medley, Green Beans & Radish!

We restarted our Fresh Fruits & Vegetable program today! Today was avocado, and every single elementary child LOVED it! They had the opportunity to try it plain and with a little everything bagel seasoning!
Our fun facts were: Avocados are a berry, and they have been around for at least 12,000 years!

It's perfect timing for this post! Our school welcomes any wild game (especially Moose) that would le to be donated. We will process it and make Hamburger , Roast and Breakfast Sausage to feed our School kids and Elders!
Please contact Paula Singley 907-246-4265 if you have any you are looking for a new home for your wild game . we do have guidelines we have to follow n which one being we will process it and it has to be donated.
We are also always looking for Halibut & Caribou

These Star Students Love Salmon Day! Thank you Justina for a super delicious Salad and Mr. Palmer for cutting up all the oranges and not pictured but the two amazing ladies that plated 38 to go Elder meals while in the middle of prepping for the culinary arts sale that day! The littles were so impressive they even ate the skin! We made over 300 pieces of Salmon Friday (ran out and made more) not one piece was left :) Busy but very productive day!

Regarding change in the Menus!
its been brought to my attention of concerns on the recent menu changes. Although i do apologize but i have been trying to closely match what have put down or i have been switching meals through out the week. There are reasons for these changes and i won't bother you with them but please know that i will try harder to give more notice.

I do apologize about not notifying you in a timely matter. Please know that the menus are always subject to change but what I can do is make sure that as much notice as possible is given.

This leads me to say tomorrows menu will be changed

Breakfast: Will be Cold Cereal, Boiled eggs, Cheese sticks

Lunch: Sandwiches but we will have two Kinds (Salmon Spread on a Hamburger Bun and Turkey on a Hoagie) everything else will reman the same. Macaroni Salad mixed salad and fresh fruit.
