Fueling Up for a New School Year! Dare County School Nutrition Team Attends Inspiring Kickoff Training

On August 14, 2025 before the school bells ring and the cafeteria lines form, the dedicated professionals of the Dare County School Nutrition team were already hard at work, sharpening their skills and gathering inspiration for the year ahead!

Our team traveled to Elizabeth City to attend an energetic back-to-school training event hosted by Albemarle Area Child Nutrition. Held at the beautiful Museum of the Albemarle, the training brought together school nutrition professionals from Northeastern NC for a day of learning, collaboration, and motivation.

As part of their commitment to excellence, all school nutrition professionals are required to obtain professional development hours each year. To ensure our team stays current on the best practices in food safety, nutrition, and customer service.

A lineup of dynamic guest speakers brought incredible energy and excitement, leaving our team feeling motivated and ready to welcome students back.

We are incredibly proud of our team's dedication to learning and their passion for fueling our students for success.
