7 days to our Fall Plant Fair! Once the terraces were installed, we worked on installing drainage. The idea is that perforated pipe will help to capture water during rain events and hold it onsite while it slowly enters the soil. That way the terraced garden doesn’t become a waterfall garden!

7 days to our Fall Plant Fair! Once we had the steps in place, we started installing the terraces to be parallel off either side of the steps. After they were in place, we filled the steps with gravel and tamped it down to be able to walk up and down them.

14 days (2 weeks!!!) to our Fall Plant Fair! Today, we are sharing more progress pics from the development of our new terraced trial garden. After removing the steps we found approximately 40 landscape timbers on the site we had to remove. After they were out of the way, we measured our where the new steps would go.
