🚿 Remember that to effectively and quickly cool the horse research has shown that it is most effective to apply cool water, scrape off the excess water for conductive cooling (applied water absorbs the body heat that is removed by scraping), then repeat as needed to apply more water and again scrape off excess water. 💧
💦 Scraping the water off removes the layer of water trapped by the hair which coats the standing horse and prevents the convective transfer of heat from the horse.
