Heads up, Lumberjacks! 🚧

Starting Monday, May 4, a section of Hayter Street east of Raguet Street will be closed as underground utility work begins to support major campus construction. This work supports the future Greg Arnold Center for Entrepreneurship and the ongoing growth of our Forestry and Agriculture facilities. This section will remain closed through August 1.

Expect heavier traffic west of Raguet Street on Lloyd, Blount, Hayter and Raguet, especially during peak drop-off and pick-up times near the Early Childhood Research Center. SFA Police, Nacogdoches ISD Police and Nacogdoches Police officers will be on site during these times to help ensure safety and maintain traffic flow.

Detours and additional signage will be in place to help guide drivers through the area. Please plan ahead, follow posted signage and allow extra time when traveling through campus.

Safety Training Exercise Notice 📢

This Saturday, April 25, the UTS Police Department at SFA, in coordination with SFA's Emergency Management team and local and regional public safety partners, will conduct a full-scale active threat and mass casualty response exercise.

This is only a training exercise. There is no threat to the university or the surrounding community. 🚨

This training is part of a coordinated community preparedness effort involving law enforcement, fire and emergency medical services, emergency management, and school partners, so you may notice an increased presence of emergency vehicles and personnel near campus. 🚓🚑

Exercises like this help ensure our campus and community remain prepared and ready to respond in emergency situations.
