My new book series "A Little Spicy, A Little Dicey" is available!
They are only "a little spicy" - maybe a beautiful woman in a skimpy outfit, or a long lingering gaze, but nothing raunchy or graphic in the romance department. They are only "a little dicey" with adventures, and cops & robbers, detectives, bad guys, maybe a knife or gun pointed now and then, etc .... but no graphic gory bloody violence.
These have super huge print and are super short so they can be read and finished in one session (no long chapters).
Target audience is primarily elderly people who can't see as well anymore, or don't have the attention span they used to, or the strength to hold big fat heavy large print books. However, I've also had feedback that they are also appealing for groups such as adults with dyslexia, or ADD, or adult ESL classes, too.
Target word count is about 1000-1500 words, but with the large print, they still make a (small) book that looks and feels (and IS) like a regular book ... just fewer pages than usual. The end result is they are similar to the size & feel of early-reader books for kids, about 24-30 ish pages, except with an adult-focused story. Not "Adult" as the term has come to connotate in modern times, but just "for adults" as in "not for little kids", that's all.
I know that seems so short, but for the intended audience, it is actually perfect.
