Martinsville ISD would like to sincerely thank the Texas Workforce Commission for providing schools like ours the opportunity to apply for the JET grant (Jobs & Education for Texans) and investing in our students and the future of rural education. Being selected as a recipient has created opportunities that will have a lasting impact on our students and community. This funding has allowed us to offer healthcare courses that will provide students with valuable technical skills to prepare them for the workforce and future careers in healthcare. We now have a full simulation lab equipped with high-fidelity mannequins, patient monitor screens, hospital beds, vital sign machines, and hospital headwall unit to create real-world scenarios in a safe training environment.(The commissioner present and in the photo is Brent Connett. The total amount awarded was $192,032)
