Thanks to the Center Noon Lions Club! Today Mrs Brittain’s horticulture science class began studies with hydroponic growing. Basil, dill, Romain lettuce 🥬, Swiss card and cilantro will be grown. Students will also grow these in soil ( both inside and outside) to compare germination and growth rates!

Mrs Brittain’s Principles of Agriculture students have been learning about STEM & STEAM CAREERS (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) & today they did the STEM Combine where they had to take on different task from the career areas - building towers, designing water 💦 purification filters, surveying the room size & more! Lots of fun & lots of learning!!!

CHS Advanced Floral led by Mrs Brittain has been working on fall centerpieces and wreaths!

Mrs Brittain’s floral design class has been learning about color theory and texture. Students had to create a color collage that was either monochromatic, analogous, complementary, or triadic. They had to use multiple materials. Color is one of the elements of design!

🐾🛁 Hands-on learning in Small Animal Management! 🛁🐾

Today, Mrs. Griffin’s Small Animal Management students got to put their skills into action by giving Shadow a much-needed bath! 😂💛

They practiced proper bathing and grooming, worked together as a team, and learned how important patience, safe handling, and good hygiene are when caring for animals. Shadow may not have been completely convinced that bath day was necessary 😂, but the students did a great job making sure he was clean, comfortable, and well cared for!

We absolutely love days like this when we can take what we’re learning in the classroom and turn it into real, hands-on experience! 🐶🧼
