It is time to order chickens!!!

💐💜2more CHS Floral Design special projects! Mrs Brittain’s floral design students were asked to help with two wedding showers this weekend! The first shower asked for small vase center pieces for the tables and the 2nd shower asked for a grand design centerpiece for the food table. Jaleigha Black was the lead helper for these projects! Thank you to Dawn Barnes and Sommer Herndon for trusting CHS with the designs!💐💜

💜💛💜💛💜Mrs Brittain’s floral design students have been working hard on final projects! One of these projects was the bouquet 💐 of roses for the graduation ceremony! Senior 2026 Graduate Ashley Custodio led the design, while being helped by her classmates! 15 dozen roses!! Each graduate will receive a rose as a keepsake of this special night.💜💛💜

All completed entries must be turned in to Mrs. Griffin by July 6, 2026. You may leave them at the High School Front Office. DO NOT TURN THEM INTO THE EXTENSION OFFICE!!

Both the exhibitor and their parent(s)/guardian(s) must:
-Read the rules carefully before signing anything.
-Sign both the Acknowledgment & Disclaimer and the Entry Form (Information Sheet).
-Return only the Acknowledgment & Disclaimer and the Entry Form. (Keep the rules for your reference.)

Payments must be made by check only! Make a check out to Shelby County Broiler Show.

We have not received confirmation on whether or not t-shirts or hoodies will be provided this year. However, please ensure the correct size is selected on the entry form just in case.

The pick-up date for birds has not yet been set and will be announced at a later time.

You must be in an Agricultural Science Class if you are in the 8th grade or above to show chickens through FFA. Make sure you are enrolled!

Congratulations Bouquets! 💐’Tis the season to say congratulations and a floral bouquet is a great way to do it! Students in Mrs Brittain’s floral design class learned how to make hand tied and wrapped bouquets today! Thanks to Johnsen’s Wholesale florist for donating the flowers!💐 They even made a few “in the dark” when our electricity was out today!

🍅🥬🥕🧅Mrs Brittain’s horticulture class made their final harvest for the school year. Tomatoes, onions, Brussels sprouts, kale, carrots, and jalapeños were harvested! Students also finished their own garden cookbook! It has been a year of growth here at CHS! 💜💛💜💛

🔨💜💛 Center Ag Mechanics is proud to showcase this walkover bridge built for Center First Pentecostal Church! Our students did an outstanding job designing, fabricating, welding, painting, and decking this project from start to finish.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped behind the scenes to make this community project possible. Your support and teamwork mean so much!

Mr. Brown is extremely proud of the hard work, dedication, and craftsmanship these students displayed while completing this project. Great job, Riders!

Garden Party! Mrs Brittain’s horticulture class celebrated the end of the school year today with a veggie 🥗 lunch from their garden! 🪏

Center FFA officers attended the Area IX Convention at SFA today. Members voted on area officers, scholarships were presented and the talent contest was held. Also CDE Sweepstakes awards were presented and State Officer candidates were presented.
