Introducing Mr. Meyer
Facilities Manager

Originally from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Mr. Meyer moved to Myrtle Beach after retiring from the U.S. Navy with 26 years of service. He is married with three children and a dog. With his background in engineering and facilities management, he is committed to providing a safe and comfortable environment for everyone at the school.

Introducing Ms. McNeil
Reading Interventionist (Grades K-2) & After-School Teacher

Ms. McNeil grew up in Iowa and moved to South Carolina in July 2015. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Stephens College. She is dedicated to nurturing students and celebrating their growth. Approaching her 11th year at Bridgewater, she values the significance of effective leadership and collaboration.

Reading Interventionist (Grades 3-8)

I am honored to be entering my 12th year at Bridgewater Academy where I serve as a Reading Interventionist. My goal is to help students build confidence, strengthen their reading skills, and reach their full academic potential.
I have two amazing kids and one grandson. My family is a source of joy and inspiration. I bring that same care, patience, and encouragement into my work with students

Introducing Ms. Current
Special Education Teacher

Hello!! I am a passionate educator with 28 years of experience in education and hold a BFA in dance education from UNC Charlotte. After retiring from teaching in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, I eagerly got back into the classroom as a sub here at Bridgewater academy!
Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to teach, mentor future educators, and support students with a variety of learning needs.I absolutely love seeing students grow and reach limitless goals!
Outside of school, I am a proud parent of two grown children who are both graduating from college this year! I love spending time at the beach, staying active, traveling and enjoying time with family and friends. I am thrilled to continue this next chapter of my career and life in Myrtle Beach.

Introducing Ms. Felder
Reading Coach

Ms. Felder was born and raised in South Carolina and holds a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Clemson. This marks her 6th year at Bridgewater. She feels fortunate to work at such an amazing school with a dedicated team that prioritizes our students' academic growth and well-being!

Introducing Ms. Ellisor
3rd Grade Teacher

Ms. Elllisor graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Francis Marion University and worked closely with Kappa Delta Sorority on campus. She lived in Florence, SC, her whole life, but just recently moved to the Myrtle Beach area. In her free time, she enjoys playing video games, reading, and arts & craft activities.
