Fourth graders in Mrs. Reimer’s and Mrs. Guy’s classes are putting their science skills to the test! Students are investigating whether an ice cube melts faster in a container with no lid, a white lid, a black lid, or a foil lid. This hands-on experiment kicks off their study of solar power and how energy transfers can be used to generate electricity.

We’re proud of our OBE students for working hard each day to model life skills such as responsibility, integrity, cooperation, perseverance, caring, patience, problem-solving, initiative, and flexibility.

Our 🌟Dazzling Dolphins🌟 exemplify these life skills and are nominated by staff members for special recognition. Keep up the great work, Dolphins!

Way to go Addison, Allen, A.J., Ayla, Christina, Faith, Mia, Scarlett, Valentina!

As our Instructional Coach, Mrs. Ball is our teacher confidant, resource finder, problem solver, and go to person for countless questions throughout the day. You’ll also find her calling cars, helping students, supporting teachers, and stepping in wherever she’s needed.

Her official title may be Instructional Coach, but her role at OBE goes well beyond that. We appreciate Mrs. Ball and all she does to support our Dolphins each day 🐬💙💛

States Roberson got a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to keep OBE running as our Principal for the Day! Mr. Roberson spent the day shadowing Mrs. Acre around OBE, making the rounds, visiting classrooms, and seeing how busy a principal’s day can be. He even helped kick off the school day by leading the Pledge of Allegiance over the morning announcements, read to kindergarten students, and ended the day by celebrating avid readers with a special trip to the book vending machine.

When he’s not serving as Principal for the Day, Mr. Roberson is an attorney with Newby, Sartip & Masel LLC. We loved having him spend the day with us and get a glimpse of OBE from the principal’s point of view. Thanks for helping lead the way today, Principal Roberson! We think OBE was in pretty good hands 🐬💙💛
