First Grade students at CFE design movement in their dancing giraffe collage. This fun project introduces gesture drawing to our young artists.

Kindergarten artists use lines to create Freeform animal shapes after our “field trip” to explore the Paleolithic cave drawings in Lascaux France.

5th grade artists took their observation skills into our CFE courtyard to draw trees.

2nd grade CFE artists used their gesture figure drawings to make patterns on their paper. These artists then decorated the shapes with additional patterns.

3rd grade students created color wheels of dancing figure shapes.

4th grade artists at CFE created warm and cool color landscape watercolor paintings. The focus was on color while showing value and variety of line with various watercolor techniques.

Fifth Grade students explored using contour lines in their observational drawings of their shoes.
