SJMS PTA strives to build strong working relationships among parents, teachers, and the school.
There is lots of flexibility for involvement and low-pressure expectations for fundraising. We love to brainstorm plans, get new ideas, and welcome new SJMS Sharks who are new to our community. We invite parents to come and share thoughts on how to support learning.

➡️ This Thursday, February 16 is Parent-Teacher Conference Night.
🗣Contact your students' teachers to set up an appointment to chat in-person or virtually.

🏀 The basketball playoffs start this week and we need parent volunteers to help with concessions.
➡️Our first playoff game is this Thursday, February 2 at 6:00pm.
🥳️Should we win Thursday's game, the next game would be held next Tuesday, February 7th at 6:00 pm.
🙏We need volunteers for this Thursday, February 2 and volunteers for next Tuesday, February 7.
👍Arrive time would be approximately 5:30/5:45 and you should be finished by 7:30.

🌟It's time for winter break, woo hoo!
🙌 But, before we log off for a well-deserved break, we wanted to let you know that thanks to you, we had over $12k in sales for our Texas Roadhouse house fundraiser.
🍴 Because of these fantastic sales, Texas Roadhouse provided St. James Middle School faculty and staff steak and chicken meals with yummy rolls, salads, and more yesterday (see pic).
🥳️ Also, a big congrats to Mr. Ross, whose class was the first to sell $1000 in Texas Roadhouse gift cards. Mr. Ross has won a free meal a month for a WHOLE YEAR! Great job!

A quick UPDATE about the Texas Roadhouse Fundraiser:
The SJM PTA Fundraiser of Texas Roadhouse Gift Cards has been extended to Thursday, December 1, 2022!
Students, parents, AND teachers have the opportunity to earn individual rewards:
🙌Students who sell at least $500 in gift cards will receive a free kid’s meal monthly for the next 6 months, AND the student who sells the most gift cards schoolwide (over $1,000) will receive a $100 Visa Gift Card.
🙌The parent/guardian of a student who sells at least $375 in gift cards will receive a $30 dinner for two
👏The teacher of the first class to reach $1000 in gift card sales will receive a free entrée from TRH monthly for the next 6 months.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
✅Students should collect for gift cards as they sell them.
✅Checks should be made payable to St James Middle School PTA
✅Gift cards are redeemable at Texas Roadhouse Restaurants nationwide.
🗓All envelopes MUST be turned in by Thursday, December 1, 2022
➡️ Sold cards will be distributed back to students for delivery by December 15, 2022

👏If you didn’t know this week is American Education Week, and we’re celebrating our educators at St. James Middle School!
☀️This morning PTA members were up extra early to set up and amazing Dunkin Donuts breakfast for all of our favorite teachers and support staff!
🍩We hope that the breakfast was yummy and helped you kick of your Wednesday in a positive way.
