No school tomorrow because of the upcoming storm.
All of my students received their assignment for tomorrow. Kids can check Schoology for more information. Please let me know if there are any questions. Stay safe!

Based upon current information concerning the intense storm system predicted to impact Horry County and surrounding areas, Horry County Schools will operate on an eLearning schedule on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.

All schools will be closed but will operate with an eLearning day for all students. Because HCS is approved by the South Carolina Department of Education as an eLearning district, this eLearning day will not have to be made up. Students who are unable to participate due to power outages, loss of internet service, or other barriers will have the opportunity to complete assignments at a later date. School staff will communicate directions to students regarding eLearning today, Monday, January 8, 2024. All extracurricular competitions (athletic and other extracurricular) scheduled for Tuesday, January 9, 2024, will be rescheduled.

All HCS employees will work remotely with the exception of school-based nutrition services staff, paraprofessionals, and bus drivers. School-based nutrition services staff, paraprofessionals, and bus drivers will not report to work but will be allowed to make up the day based upon schedules provided by their supervisors.
