Coastal High School

Coastal High School is welcoming international exchange students this year, and a few of them are still looking for a host family! 💙🌎

These students come from Spain, France, and beyond, and they are hoping to spend the school year experiencing American life, attending Coastal, and becoming part of a local family.
Hosting is simpler than most people think. Families provide meals, a place to sleep and study, and a warm welcome. Students arrive with their own spending money and their own health insurance. Families of all kinds host, couples, single adults, empty nesters, families with kids. There is no perfect family.

Martina, 15, Spain — Cheerful and adventurous, Martina loves animals, cooking, and time with family and friends. She adores children and hopes to study psychology and criminalistics one day.

Marc, 17, Spain — Cheerful and adaptable, Marc values family, teamwork, and community. He is interested in health and science and hopes to attend college. He needs a cat-free, non-smoking home.

Mattéo, 17, France — Curious and responsible, Mattéo dreams of becoming an airline pilot. He loves mathematics, physics, chess, and spending time with animals.

Elsa, 16, China — Thoughtful and polite, Elsa loves K-pop dance, piano, photography, and cooking. She may be quiet at first but is a warm listener who forms genuine connections.
We are open to both full school year placements and shorter welcome placements, so there is flexibility depending on what works for a family.

Can you believe it...today is Archery Camp!

I am so pumped! I can't wait to see everyone and officially kick off another CAT5 Archery season.

A few reminders before you arrive:

Bring a filled water bottle. (Start hydrating today!)
Wear closed-toe athletic shoes.
Bring a hat if you would like one.
Apply or bring sunscreen.
Bring bug spray, as it has been raining.
Bring a cold ice pack if you have one. They are a great way to cool down during breaks.
Bring a chair if you would like one for breaks.
Where to Meet

We will meet at the front of Coastal High School. From there, everyone will head into the Multipurpose Room, where parents will sign the necessary paperwork before we head out to the range to begin an exciting week together.

I am looking forward to spending the week with each of you.

Good afternoon, CAT5 Archers! We are a few days away from the start of Archery Camp, and we are excited to see everyone! We will be making camp t-shirts, so I need everyone planning to attend to complete the form with your shirt size and let us know if you will be attending camp.

Please note that to receive a camp t-shirt, you must attend camp.I sent an email last week with important camp information, and I'll attach it again in case you missed it.

The cost of the shirt is $10, which covers the cost of the t-shirt and the custom camp decal.
I know many of you have already told me you plan to attend, but please take a moment to fill out the form anyway. This helps us order the correct number of shirts and decals so everything is ready before camp begins.

Daily Schedule
9:00–9:15- Welcome, Attendance, Stretching, and Camp Challenge
9:15–10:00- Archery Instruction
10:00–10:15- Break
10:15–11:15- Range Practice & Skill Development
11:15–11:45- Games, Challenges, and Friendly Competition
11:45–12:00- Daily Reflection and Dismissal

What to Bring Each Day
Please bring the following items every day:
* Water bottle (labeled with your name)
* Comfortable athletic clothing (school appropriate)
* Closed-toe athletic shoes
* Hat or visor (optional)
* Sunscreen (if needed)
* Positive attitude
* Willingness to learn and encourage others
If your student has a personal bow that meets NASP specifications and has been approved by the coaching staff, they may bring it. Otherwise, all equipment will be provided.
