Socastee Middle School

Mrs. Melchione and the entire Socastee Middle School family hope you have a wonderful summer. Please be safe and we'll see in August for the 2026-27 school year!

We had 55 students who read 1,000 pages in the 4th quarter! Today, we celebrated them with DJ Bingo! Thank to the PTO for sponsoring this event!

500 students attended every day of state testing so they were rewarded with an ice cream sundae bar! Thank you to New York Prime for donating 24 gallons of ice cream and Thank you to our instructional coach, Mr. Macheski for organizing it for the students.

We celebrated the 66 students who read more than 4,000 pages this school year with chic-fil-a biscuits, prizes and a book to take home this summer! Thank you to our Media Specialist Mrs. Burton and Mrs. Hall for organizing the event and Valu Teachers for sponsoring the biscuits!

Thank you to our exploratory team, PTO, Splash of Class Painting and Design and Mishoe’s Mobile Gaming for making our Field Day/ Yearbook signing a huge success!
*The exploratory team ran all of the outside events for the students.
*Our PTO provided snowcones for every student and the inflatables.
*Splash of Class Painting and Design provided color coded shirts for every sixth grader.
*Mishoe’s Mobile Gaming provided every student the opportunity to play video games.
*Our Yearbook cover was designed by Mary Grace Tyler (8th grader).
It was a great day to be a Warrior!!!

Field Day is Tomorrow!!!

We held our 2nd annual powder puff flag football game tonight. The blue team won! We are so proud of these young ladies for working so hard the last few weeks in practice. Thank you to all of our spectators for coming out and cheering them on!
