She continually goes above and beyond, always looking for new ways to make our school a better place for both students and staff. - Mu Alpha Theta (Math National Honor Society) members will provide tutoring services for any students who need a little assistance in math. In preparation for final exams, they will start today; and continue until the end of the school year. Tutoring will be offered in the IB Center from 8:05 – 8:20 and 3:20-4:00. Please sign up for tutoring through your math teacher.
-The Bowling Club will have a brief meeting after school on Wednesday in Mr. Haas’s Room 209 from 3:30 to 4:00.
-Two of our Art 3 students have submitted artwork for the MB Airport art contest.

-Attention Juniors: Palmetto Boys and Girls State Applications are now available. The applications are in the folders outside of Ms. Belchers office. - There will be a Rubik’s Cube Challenge Team meeting in Mr. MacLeod’s, room 314, at 3:25 on Thursday. It’s not too late to join the Socastee team that will compete at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center this spring. If you’re interested, please stop by Mr. MacLeod’s room on Thursday!

Happy New Year Socastee,
-We hope you all had a wonderful break and are ready to finish out the 1st semester.
-Pools and Palms Week 17 Athlete of the Week is Rylee Minehart. Rylee led the Lady Braves in scoring over the Winter Break. She had 89 points in 6 games. She was pivotal to the team being 4-2 in those 6 games. She was also selected as Max Preps Player of the Game 3 out of the 6 games. Rylee has chosen to recognize Math teacher, Alexis Karnes. Rylee says she just enjoyed Mrs. Karnes teaching and she is just an awesome person.

- Track and Field workouts will also begin today at 3:45. Please have all paperwork completed in Planet HS. Please reach out to Coach Litton in room 321 or email if you have any questions about Track and Field. Remember, track is not just running but also Jumping and Throwing so all types of athletes are needed!
