IT IS A GREAT DAY TO BE A BRAVE!!!
School report cards are out, and we are proud to share that Socastee High School earned an EXCELLENT rating for the first time in five years! Each October, the SC Department of Education issues school report cards and the results reflect our students' academic achievement and the school’s environment.
A rating of Excellent indicates that our school’s performance substantially exceeds the criteria to ensure all students meet the Profile of the SC Graduate. A big factor in our rating was the significant increase in our overall Graduation Rate which increased over 6.3 percentile points over the last four years to 90.2%! Also, the percentage of our students graduating College, Career, or Military-ready has increased 14.5 percentile points over the past four years to 83.9%!
We are proud of our Braves! This accomplishment is a direct result of our entire Socastee community---without our students, staff, and parents, this would not have been possible. Thank you all! It's a great day to be a BRAVE!
