Mrs. Hall’s Heroes

There’s no better way to end the week than with our buddies! We read our sight word book with them and then played with chalk outside. They love meeting with their buddies! ❤️

We read “Vincent Paints a House” this week. We talked about the different colors Vincent wanted to paint his house. At the end of the story, he ended up painting it the rainbow where all the colors were represented. We created our own house and used watercolors to paint it whatever color we wanted. They were sooo proud of their work!

Today we read the book “Ish” by Peter Reynolds. We discussed that creating things is art and it’s a way to express ourselves. We then discussed that we can be our own best critics and to always be proud of our work as long as we tried our best. We did a directed drawing of a Caterpillar and said that they may all look different, but they are all beautiful and special as long as we tried our best. They all look “caterpilllar-ish”. 🐛 🖼️

We tried peeps to see if we liked them or not, we learned what they were made with, and did a science experience to see if vinegar, Sprite, or water would make it dissolve. 🔍
