School's out, but School Spirit is still IN! Join your fellow River Oaks families at The Baked Bear at Broadway at the Beach (1210 Celebrity Circle, Suite 205) ALL DAY from 1pm til 9:30pm on Friday, June 5th for our River Oaks Elementary Spirit Night! 🍨 🍪 Enjoy homemade ice cream and cookies - or put them together for a fresh made ice cream sandwich! 10% of ALL SALES go back to support everything the River Oaks Elementary PTO does to support our students, teachers, and families!

All funds raised go to support things like putting on Field Day for our kids, events like Trunk or Treat & Christmas Bingo, Teacher Appreciation Week, free Kona Ice for all students, books for the Book Vending Machine, and more! 🦦

The River Oaks Elementary PTO Exec Board was on site yesterday after the bell rang to provide lunch for the End of the Year River Oaks Elementary Teachers & Staff Luncheon! 🦦 Congratulations to all of the teachers who were honored for various Horry County Schools teaching milestones, to those teachers transferring to new schools & districts, and to Mrs. Richardson (Art), Ms. Couch (CD), and Mrs. Tarabek (2nd Grade) who were honored for their retirements! Thank you to Chile Frito for the delicious taco & nachos bar for our wonderful teachers, staff, and administrators and to our volunteer parents for helping set up, serve, and clean up! 🌮

The River Oaks Elementary PTO was thrilled to unveil our latest donation on our River Oaks Elementary playground - new River Oaks foam pads on all of our basketball poles! We were thrilled to have some of our top PTO Community Partner businesses who help us do so much of what we do - Sansbury Law Firm, Tavern in the Forest/Fullbelly BBQ, and The Baked Bear Myrtle Beach - there, along with Board Members whose businesses have also been big PTO supporters - Co-President Vinny Napolitano (Napolitano Consulting) and Co-Fundraising Coordinator Beckey Curtis ( Rebecca Curtis, Realtor / Rebecca’s PC Kitchen) and our Principal Mrs. Cazier!

These foam covers not only look good with some added River Otter spirit to our play space, but purchasing one for every pole will improve playtime safety during recess, absorbing impact & reducing risk for bruises, scrapes, and concussions for our littles while they're having fun! What otterly amazing Field Days we had for 2026! 🦦🤩 Two straight days of fun in the sun with our River Oaks Elementary kiddos! A special thank you to all of our AMAZING parent & grandparent volunteers who stepped up in a HUGE way to keep the days running smoothly, keep our kids safe, and make sure the day made a big splash for every single one of our River Otters! 💦 And, of course, a big thank you to all of you, River Oaks families! Every single smile, every game/slide/splash, every memory made? These are thanks to YOU! The support you give us at every Spirit Night, by buying a car line banner, by donoating for Boosterthon or Silent Auction... These things allow us to fund this amazing tradition and give our kids these memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you for all you do to help the River Oaks Elementary PTO do what we do! We love bringing the joy to River Oaks, and we feel so lucky to be part of such an amazing school community! 💙

Two days of Kona Ice is twice as nice! 🍧 River Oaks PTO served up lots of smiles for our CD, 1st, and 3rd Grade kiddos for Round 2 of our Spring Giveback where we bought every single student, teacher, and staff member an ice on us during recess! 🐧 And Mother Nature gave us plenty of sunshine to say summer break is right around the corner! ☀️ Thank you to our volunteers who helped us keep the lines moving & joy growing!

Is there a better way to kick off a short week than with some Kona Ice? 🍧 🐧 The River Oaks PTO treated every single kid in Kindergarten, 2nd, 4th, and 5th Grades to a FREE Kona Ice treat during recess yesterday for our Spring giveback 😋 Thank you to our parent volunteers who helped us serve up the fun & spread a little joy in the hot sun! ☀️ We will be heading back TODAY to treat CD, 1st, and 3rd Grades!

So when we were hosting our Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week, we got tons of questions about the cool gadgets we rolled out this year like the frozen drink machine, the bowl that kept our yogurt ice cold, the super fast fruit slicers... All of these awesome things came from our awesome Fundraising Co-Coordinator, Beckey Curtis, who is also a Pampered Chef Consultant, Rebecca’s PC Kitchen - so to let folks get their hands on some of these super cool items ahead of summer AND help River Oaks Elementary, she set up an exclusive fundraising link where 30% of all sales will come straight back to River Oaks Elementary PTO & the awesome stuff we do for our kids, teachers, staff, and families! We ask y'all to show up - and our River Otter families deliver! 🎉 Our Red Robin River Oaks PTO Spirit Night was a smashing success with a 14% increase in profit over last year's turnout (you know, when our school was twice the size!?), making this year our all-time most successful Red Robin Spirit Night EVER! 👏 🥳 THANK YOU, River Oaks Elementary School! You never stop amazing us with how incredibly generous & big-hearted you are when it comes to our school. A big thank you to our friends at Red Robin for being such fantastic community partners and to their whole team for working so hard to give all of our families the red carpet treatment last night, y'all are the real MVPs! 🍔
