Galen Myrtle Beach, SC Campus Nursing is all we teach! Offering 2-year ADN and LPN to ADN Bridge degrees.

Founded more than 35 years ago, Galen College of Nursing is one of the largest private nursing schools in the United States, with more than 44,000 graduates. With a focus solely on nursing education and a mission to expand access to nursing education, the College offers masters, baccalaureate and associate degree education and practical/vocational nursing (PN/VN) programs to more than 18,000 students on its 24 campuses in 12 states and online. Galen College of Nursing (Galen) is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate, baccalaureate, master’s, and doctorate degrees. Galen also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels.

How did 9/11 change the way future nurses prepare for emergencies?

Dr. Kandi Valentine, dean and program administrator at Galen College of Nursing’s Myrtle Beach campus, recently spoke with WPDE about the lasting impact of Sept. 11 on nursing education and disaster preparedness. She shared how simulation, triage exercises and hands-on preparation help students learn to respond during challenging situations.

Our students also had the opportunity to be part of the story, demonstrating their skills in the simulation lab while the news crew captured footage. 🩺💙✨
