⛳️ It's tournament day!

The Amateur Players Tour is excited to be competing today at the spectacular Grande Dunes Resort Course in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

A special thank you to Tom VanHoogen, General Manager, and the entire staff for your outstanding hospitality and for always making our players feel welcome. We truly appreciate everything you do to provide a first-class experience.

Opened in 2001, Grande Dunes has become one of the premier public golf courses in the country. Designed by Roger Rulewich, the course is known for its wide fairways, large undulating greens, and breathtaking holes that play along the Intracoastal Waterway—especially the unforgettable par-3 14th. As the centerpiece of the Grande Dunes community, it has earned national recognition, including National Golf Course of the Year, and continues to be consistently ranked among Myrtle Beach's finest layouts.

Congratulations to APT member Pat Ryan, the grand prize winner of the second Know Your Game challenge presented by PDI! Pat earned a $2,500 custom equipment package courtesy of PDI and GPC Custom Clubs after completing the four-week Player Development Index challenge.

The challenge encouraged members to track their progress by completing at least four PDI self-assessments, using data to measure improvement and guide their practice. Since taking over the Myrtle Beach and Charlotte Chapters, we had gone ZERO for... well, forever. Not a single hole-in-one. Then our two-day Elevated Tournament at Barefoot Resort's "Love" and "Fazio" Courses happened — and lightning struck TWICE! ⚡⚡
TWO HOLE-IN-ONES in ONE tournament?! That's not just rare, that's the stuff of golf legend! 🤩🏆 The golf gods showed up in a big way at Barefoot this weekend, and we are still buzzing about it!

🏆 Congratulations to Phil Vangeersdaelen, our Division 3 Champion from the Charlotte Chapter! Phil claimed the win at our two-day Elevated Tournament, held at the Barefoot Resort "Love" and "Fazio" Courses! Phil battled through both rounds with some clutch shot-making down the stretch — well-earned victory! 👏⛳
