MEA held our back to school Building Rep training last Monday. It was so great to see everyone and start getting things ready for the new school year. Up first is our New Teacher Luncheon at each site. We are excited to welcome all the new teachers to our district! 😊

The 2026 NEA Representative Assembly just concluded yesterday and you had 4 MEA members here representing you. We completed the business of the association while representing our Mustang teachers and our Oklahoma Education Association. WE ARE WORTH IT! 👏

Today, on this federal holiday, we pause to recognize a day rooted in freedom, resilience, and reflection: Juneteenth.

June 19 marks the day in 1865 when enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, finally received word of emancipation, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

Today, we honor the significance of Juneteenth and the continued importance of learning, remembering, and moving forward with understanding.
