We’ve gotten a number of comments regarding the cost of the piano event being too high. There is also some concern about show content. With that said, I have a question.

If we had a single family friendly show and had finger foods instead of a meal at a cost of $30, who would come?

We would need to sell in the neighborhood of 200 tickets to break even. We have to make the decision to cancel or not today. Let me know your thoughts.

As you should all know by now, we are hosting a dueling piano dinner at the Czech Hall on Friday 4/26. This should be a good fundraiser for the band boosters which in turn, saves you money. Unfortunately, the response so far has been poor. We have a large investment in this event and need to sell in the 150 ticket range just to break even. With 400 plus band families in our high school program, this should not be a problem. Mr Edgmon will be sending home cards next week with all of the pertinent information including how to buy tickets. We need the parents and kids to help sell tickets. We’d love to have band families there but we also encourage you to sell to people outside the band program. If this event is not successful, we will enter next year dangerously low on funds which could have a negative impact of band fees. These tickets should not be too difficult to sell. For $50, you get dinner, three hours of musical entertainment, and a chance to win cash. In addition, there will be multiple raffle and silent auction opportunities. Please help us get these tickets sold.

Parents and families, this is another big fundraiser for us. Please share and help us sell tickets. Putting the event on requires a large investment so we need to sell at least 125 to break even. We’d love to have our band families there but we also want non band guests. There will be multiple items for silent auction, raffles, as well as, cash drawings. On top of that, the entertainment will be a lot of fun. Thanks again for your help.

Parents and Families,

We need your help!! This Saturday, we are hosting the WGPO State Championships. This is a critical fundraiser for our program. Money made from this event benefits the entire band. This is how the boosters help in keeping band fees as low as possible. We can’t run this contest without both parent and student volunteers. Please log in to Charms and volunteer.
