We heard the phrase “this was the best day ever!” over and over after our Career Day wrapped up today! 👏🏼 We had Joni showcase her auctioneer skills and do a mock auction that teachers bid on snacks for their classroom. Trooper Neece 👮‍♀️ taught the students about how he uses drones in his field of work. We wrapped it up with a visit from OKC Thunder broadcaster Nick Gallo & Rumble! 🦬 🎤🏀 We are forever grateful to God for caring about the small details & blessing us with such a phenomenal Career Day!

Picture Day was extra special this year! Our photography class kiddos got to work alongside their teacher, Mrs. Dawn, and learned the ins & outs of what goes in to ensuring kiddos are ready for pictures. They also enjoyed being behind the camera! 📸

We had fun with our Dolly “Carton”, blasting her hit “9 to 5” surprising teachers with a snack as a small thank you! 🎤

We couldn’t let this school year go by without celebrating America’s 250th birthday! 🇺🇸 We started the week with “Boot Camp” where kiddos tested their strength with planks, agility ladders, tug of war, and running through tires. Students were given dog tags and a list of names to choose from of co-op loved ones in the military. 🪖 They chose a name & wrote it on their dog tag necklace as a reminder to pray over that person! Boot Camp ended with a fun color run 🏃‍♀️. We ended the week with a visit from the mobile museum from the courageous veterans of the Yukon Veterans Memorial Museum! 🇺🇸 Students were able to see a bayonet from the 1700’s, hear about the effects of agent orange in the Vietnam War, and see a copy of the Declaration of Independence. The icing on the cake was getting to peek at old & current military photos that co-op families submitted for our collage. 🇺🇸 Students loved looking for their loved ones in uniform!
