First Weekly newsletter of the school year. I had a few hiccups on this new format earlier in the week but everyone should be able to see it now.

📚 Parents, Don’t Fret! We Still Have a Few Supplies Available! 🎒

If you weren’t able to make it out to our Backpack & School Supplies Giveaway yesterday, don’t fret! Though our remaining supplies & backpacks are very limited, we still have some backpacks and school supplies available for students who were unable to attend.

Students and/or parents may pick up the remaining supplies directly from the Indian Education staff at their respective schools.

🏫 Elementary School Pickup:
Because our elementary schools each have one Indian Education staff member serving two schools, their location will alternate:

➡️ Open House Night: Staff will be at one of their assigned schools.
➡️ First Day of School: Staff will be at their opposite assigned school.

🏫 MHS, Rougher Alternative Academy and Roughers Innovations Academy
All of these sites can pick up supplies & backpacks in room B106 on the MHS campus

We encourage families who still need supplies to stop by and check with the Indian Education staff at their school.

Supplies are very limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

We're looking forward to a great school year!

There is still time but there isn’t a lot of supplies left. However, we still have quite a few backpacks left. We will be here at Tony Goetz for 1.5 hours, until 7:00pm!
The best part is there is not a line right now either! Get in and get out!

Things are slow right now, it’s a good time to come pick ups some school supplies. These MHS kids need some work to do. We are getting low on supplies as well. We are here at the Tony Goetz gym until 7:00pm or we run out of supplies. Muskogee Public Schools Tony Goetz Elementary

🎒✨ ONE DAY ONLY! FREE BACKPACK & SCHOOL SUPPLIES GIVEAWAY! ✨🎒

The Muskogee Public Schools Indian Education Program is excited to help our Native students get ready for a successful school year!

📅 Thursday, August 6, 2026
⏰ 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
📍 Tony Goetz Elementary School Gym
2412 Haskell Blvd., Muskogee, OK

🎒 Backpacks and school supplies are LIMITED and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

To qualify:
✅ Student must be enrolled in Muskogee Public Schools (Pre-K–12th grades).
(If newly enrolled, such as a summer transfer or ECC student, please bring proof of enrollment.)

You will also need ONE of the following:

• Student's Tribal Membership Card
OR
• Student's CDIB Card (if the student is at least ¼ degree Indian blood)

OR

• Parent's Tribal Membership Card with the student's birth certificate showing the parent-child relationship
OR
• Parent's CDIB Card (if the parent is at least ½ degree Indian blood)

OR

• Grandparent's Tribal Membership Card with birth certificates showing the family relationship from grandparent → parent → student.

⚠️ When the backpacks and supplies are gone, they're gone!
