🍌🍦 JBR rm 4- A Rainy Day Treat! 🌧️

Our rainy day turned into a delicious learning experience! Since we couldn’t go outside, our toddlers brought the fun indoors by making banana ice cream together. 💛

We started by listening to our favorite ice cream song and talking about what we were going to make. As we prepared the frozen bananas, the children explored temperature and texture by feeling the bananas straight from the freezer and describing how they felt.

We talked through each step as we added our ingredients to the blender, giving the children opportunities to practice listening, following directions, and learning new vocabulary. The best part? Each student had a turn helping to blend the ice cream! 🍌✨

What a wonderful way to turn a rainy day into a hands-on learning experience filled with sensory exploration, science, language development, cooperation, and of course… a yummy treat! 😋

We had so much fun learning (and tasting) together! 💕

This week, our friends have been learning all about their legs, feet, and toes! Today, they explored different textures by having bubble wrap placed under their feet and then had fun walking through paint. 👣

The children enjoyed feeling the unique texture of the bubble wrap as they moved, creating a fun sensory experience while learning more about their bodies.

This month, our lesson plan is “All About Me!” On Monday, the children had fun learning about different parts of the body as they listened and pointed to each one.

This simple activity helps children become more familiar with their bodies while building body awareness, listening skills, language, and early learning concepts.

We love watching our little learners discover more about themselves through fun, hands-on learning!

Our friends enjoyed some special baby doll circle time, giving them an opportunity to practice caring for their baby dolls while learning through pretend play.

Activities like this encourage social-emotional development, language, imagination, and nurturing skills as children learn to care for and interact with others.

🇲🇽🎉 Youth Central Room 1 – Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month! 🎉🇲🇽

Our students had a wonderful time celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month through hands-on learning, delicious food, and lots of fun!

They learned how to make a piñata and prepare fresh guacamole 🥑, giving them an opportunity to explore cultural traditions while working together and learning new skills.

And then came the best part—the piñata fun! 🎊 The children had a blast taking turns hitting the piñata and enjoying the candy inside.

A big thank you to our wonderful families who donated candy and helped make this celebration extra special! We appreciate you being part of the fun!
