Last Saturday, the Hilldale Crimson Vanguard traveled to Glenpool to compete in the Blue&Grey Marching invitational. This was their first time competing at this competition and had to go against bands that are frequent OBA champions. Although the competition was fierce, the Hilldale Crimson Vanguard was able to earn 2nd in class 4A and Fan Favorite and make finals.
That evening the band was the last band to perform and close out the contest. Furthermore, the group was able to make a comeback in finals and earn the title of Grand Champions making 1rst overall!
We are proud of our band program at Hilldale and wish them the best at OSSAA Regionals on October 14th in McAlister. If you would like to see them perform, they will be performing for the Skyfyre Fireworks Show @ Hatbox Field around 8:00 p.m this Saturday October 10th.
