International Winter Camp Week 1. Arrival with Boy K-Pop Boy Band NCT 127, ESL class, baking Ferrysburg Community Church, Grand Rapids Public Museum, Michigan State Capitol on swearing-in day, Korea House Restaurant, Grand Haven Main Street, MACkite Downtown, Patricia's Chocolate, games, Woodland Mall, and Calvin University. Thank you DuBois and Braymer families for hosting. Thank you Charissa Abel for ESL and games, Hannah Abel for games, student ambassadors for joining the fun, Jack Kim ‘17 for leading the Calvin tour, and CHANS International for coordinating the camp.

THE VIP (Mr. Vredevoogd International student Program) CUP
On October 26 20019, Brian Vredevoogd, one of our middle school teachers died unexpectedly. A trophy he had used to award students in his classroom has been sitting on a shelf in the ISP office for 3 years. This will now be a weekly award given to an international student who exemplifies hard work, good citizenship, outstanding service, or Christian character.

Host families and students please let Mr. Kempster know your nominations by Thursday of each week and the traveling trophy will be awarded on Friday.

VIP Winner September 30 was Anh Vu for her hard work in the classroom and improved grades. VIP Winner October 7 was Ken Huynh for his outstanding service to others.

International Thanksgiving. Spanish Omelette, Spanish Potato Brava, Spanish Chorizo Sausage and Cheese, Korean Kimchi Egg, Korean Candy, Vietnamese Spring Roll. Oh and smoked turkey, ham, mashed potatoes and stuffing. Pies, cheesecakes, cookies. Thank you Russel and Cindy Williams-Gabel and Jane Stabnau for hosting and preparation. I am Thankful for all these students and host families! Thankful for God's world.
