🎉 The Votes Are In! Oakview Has a New Slogan! 🎉

❤️🖤 Oakview: Together, We Believe. Together, We Achieve. 🖤❤️

After more than 120 votes from our Oakview staff and families, our school community has spoken!

Our new slogan represents what we want every member of our Oakview community to experience. Together reminds us that everyone belongs and that students, staff, families, and community members all play an important role at Oakview. We Believe reflects our belief in every student's potential and in one another. We Achieve represents our commitment to learning, growth, perseverance, and success.

Thank you to everyone who submitted ideas, helped select our finalists, and cast a vote. Your participation made this truly our community's slogan.

We are excited to carry these words with us throughout the school year and beyond!

Good Afternoon, Oakview Families,

The votes are in, and we are excited to announce that we have four finalists in our search for an official Oakview school slogan!

This process began with our staff sharing more than 20 creative and thoughtful ideas that reflected who we are and who we want to be as an Oakview community. Our Administrative and Leadership Teams then reviewed the submissions and voted to narrow them to four finalists:

* We Believe! We Belong! We Achieve!
* Rooted in Belonging. Growing in Excellence.
* Oakview: Together, We Believe. Together, We Achieve.
* Belong. Believe. Achieve.

Now, we want everyone's voice to be part of the final decision! Our district's focus on belonging reminds us that every student, staff member, and family is an important part of our school community. Our new slogan should capture that sense of belonging while reflecting our pride in Oakview and our commitment to believing in our students and achieving at high levels.

Oakview wants to send a huge shout out to Ms. Dill's kindergartner Da'Khoda Jennison for his perfect attendance award! Da'Khoda has missed ZERO days this entire school year. He earned his class a popcorn party and he received a bag of goodies to take home. Congratulations Da'Khoda!

☀️ Our end-of-the-year Family Fun Night Carnival was amazing! Filled with joy, laughter, children running and playing, great food, and that good old Oakview family love! 🫶🏾♥️

Thanks to all the staff who worked so diligently to make this day special for our Oakview students and families . You rock! 🏆
