We are incredibly excited to welcome Ziyah Ochoa back to the Innovation Academies of Muskegon for her senior year!

During her junior year, Ziyah had the opportunity of a lifetime as a Rotary Youth Exchange Student in Brazil. Living and learning in another country challenged her to grow academically and personally. Throughout the experience, we saw significant improvement in Ziyah’s grades, along with increased confidence, independence, and a broader view of the world.

And she brought home a new passion—Jiu-Jitsu! 🥋 This year, Ziyah will continue her involvement with Rotary Interact and the Po**en Program, while also connecting with our local 231 Academy to continue Jiu-Jitsu lessons.

Most importantly, Ziyah will have the opportunity to share her Rotary Youth Exchange journey with underclassmen at Muskegon High School, encouraging other students to explore opportunities beyond their comfort zones and see where education can take them.

Welcome home, Ziyah! We can't wait to see what your senior year brings! !❤️❤️❤️

A huge congratulations to Rebekah Shyne and Jarod Wierengo on being recognized as Rising Stars by JMG for their exceptional work with our students in the Freshman Academy!

Freshman Foundations is a class where students engage in self-exploration, career exploration, and work on the skills and mindset they need to be successful in high school and beyond.

Rebekah and Jarod bring an unwavering and relentless commitment to helping our students discover who they are, recognize their potential, and become the best versions of themselves!

Join us Saturday, August 1 at 12:00 PM at Charles Hackley Middle School for the Big Red Marching Band Welcome Home Show. This is your first look at this season's pregame entertainment and halftime production.

We are excited to announce this year's marching band production, Crimson, inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's classic story The Tell-Tale Heart. This show brings mystery, intensity, and bold visual moments to the field. The Big Red Marching Band have already begun working hard, and we can't wait for you to experience the energy they'll bring to Friday nights this fall.

Free and open to the public. Bring the family and come welcome our students back from Band Camp.
