Day one is in the books, and my heart (and coffee cup) is full! ☕❤️

From nervous morning smiles to energetic afternoon laughter, today reminded me exactly why I love teaching. We discussed our daily agenda and goals, got to know each other a little bit, and started building what’s going to be incredible classroom communities this year.

A huge thank you to all the parents for sending us such wonderfully kind, curious, and bright kids! Rest up tonight—we’ve got a whole year of amazing things ahead of us. 📚✨

Last week, we took a field trip to the Muskegon Museum of Art and explored the exhibition POW! The Art of Comics, and other exibits. Students experienced a variety of artistic styles, storytelling techniques, illustration, typography, and design concepts while connecting art to creativity and visual communication.
