This summer Tina Koratich, a first-year student in the Landscape Management Program, has been hard at work for Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids, MI. She has planted hundreds of annuals and removed invasive species alongside goats, in addition to helping guests find their way. Her favorite tales include pruning trees in the pouring rain and cleaning coins. Visit Meijer Gardens to see some of her work and experience the indoor and outdoor Chihuly Exhibition (Now - Nov 1)!

In 1894, 23 students enrolled in a dairy management short course at what was then the State Agricultural College. That program became the foundation of today's Michigan State University Institute of Agricultural Technology.

More than a century later, IAT continues to prepare career-ready graduates through hands-on, workforce-focused education. As part of America's pioneer land-grant university, experiential learning has always been at the heart of what we do.

For 132 years, IAT has been connecting students to careers, industry, and opportunity.
