One of the things that stands out about Lake Denoon is how often staff work across grade levels and subject areas.

Right now, Tech Ed, BMIT (Business, Marketing & Information Technology), School Counseling, and ACP (Academic Career Planning) are teaming up around this year's mass manufacturing product for veterans.

When teachers and staff collaborate, big things happen for our students!

Celebrating Our Leaders of the Pack!

On Friday, we recognized our very first group of Leaders of the Pack for the 2026-27 school year! These outstanding students were nominated for going above and beyond - demonstrating hard work, helping their classmates, active participation in class, and spreading kindness every day.

We are so grateful for the positive impact they make on our school community!

Our 8th graders put their unit on waves to the test during today’s Earthquake Simulation Challenge! Students designed, built, and tested structures to see how well they could withstand seismic forces. Lots of dynamic learning (and a few epic collapses)!

We need your ideas!

Our 8th grade Mass Manufacturing students and 7th grade Kids Biz students are beginning this year’s joint production project.

Each year, students research a specific audience, design a product, produce it, market it, and sell it as part of a real classroom production experience.

This year, students will be designing with veterans in mind.

We want students to think beyond decoration and consider what might feel useful, respectful, meaningful, durable, or worth keeping.

We would love input from our community, especially veterans, family members of veterans, and people connected to veteran organizations.

What types of products might be meaningful, useful, or appreciated if middle school students designed and produced them for veterans?

Please comment below with your ideas. Your input will help guide students as they begin researching and narrowing their product ideas.
