After a long journey home from Italy, I stopped by the school this morning and was so happy to see Mr. Johnson holding an extra class to help both our Riverbend students and our sister school, Ainsworth, prepare for their upcoming black belt test.

One of the things we really value about being part of USAMA together with Ainsworth is the opportunity it gives our schools to train together, support one another, and give our students even more chances to learn and grow outside of their regular classes.

One of the best feelings as instructors is also knowing that when we’re away, our students are still in great hands. While I was in Italy with Team USA and Master Cavazos was away, we were fortunate to have an incredible team step up and keep everything running smoothly.

A huge THANK YOU to Mr. Johnson, Master Battey, and Master Shepard for holding down the fort in our absence. Your time, leadership, and dedication to our students are truly appreciated!

It takes a team — and we are very thankful for ours.
